Pretend this post popped up yesterday!! Happy Fourth of July...

Happy Fourth of July !!!!
CeeJay and Robin stayed in Hayden to enjoy more time with Melanie before she had to go back home to Canada and Diane and I ventured off to the Palouse .

Okay let's mention the PALOUSE again.  What a gorgeous area.  Words can not describe the spectacular colors and rolling hills of the Palouse.

Driving through Colfax we spotted a cottage furniture collectable store named " The Hen House Chicks".  Awesome!  The store was closed, but Sandi and Nancy were diligently working inside changing displays and refinishing furniture,so they invited us inside and of course I had to shop.
After finding a perfect yellow berry bowl Nancy made Diane a vanilla latte and for me a Peach Jet Tea.
OH MY!!  A super peach fix. For those of you who don't know Jet Tea is a Northwest thing and this flatlander from Missouri was in heaven.  Thank you Hen House Chicks for a wonderful day in Colfax.

Farmgirl Discount offered !!  Farmgirls who visit the Hen House Chicks and mention you saw them on the Farmgirls on the Loose blog will receive a 20% discount off your purchase.
Thank you Nancy and Sandi - "The Hen House Chicks".

Another special treat for us was meeting with Rene Groom and her husband Tom.  The Red Lobster in Lewiston accomidated a wild farmgirl visit and Tom was patient with all of us. Taking the fun to the parking lot and saying good bye and farmgirl hugs.

Following the Clearwater River to Orofino.

Arriving at Diana Poulton's mountian retreat with a breathtaking view you only see on the travel channel.

Can't get the pic to turn.. this is a gorgeous quilt by Diana and the farmgirl swaps.  Breathtaking in person.
